Bruno’s has been a family-owned establishment since 1973. Biagio Settepani moved to New York from Sicily with his family as a young boy where he began his career at the age of 13 in a small pastry shop in Brooklyn. He continued working and learning as much as possible and at the age of 21, he took over the reins of Bruno Bakery, a well-known bakery and café in New York City. Ever since, his dedication to the art of pastry has sent him around the world to accumulate as much knowledge of the craft as possible. The Settepani family is committed to providing quality products and service to their customers.

We specialize in occasion cakes, wedding cakes, catering, and dessert tables make your upcoming event a memorable one. During the holidays, Bruno’s is the preeminent location where to find New York’s largest and finest selection of cakes, pastries, cookies, chocolate truffles, gift baskets, specialty Italian baked goods and Chef Biagio’s signature Panettone. The Bruno’s family has also competed at the highest level of food competition winning Bobby Flay’s Cannoli throwdown, and Rachel Ray’s Royal Wedding Competition. Bruno’s is also the proud home of the “Cake of the Century” and Bakers Retail of the Year.

In December 2004, Chef Biagio and his wife and children introduced Bruno’s at 1650 Hylan Boulevard in Staten Island, New York. An authentic modern-day Italian bakery and cafe offering the unrivaled excellence of Italian and French desserts. Bruno’s Hylan Boulevard welcomes families to indulge in a best of class dining experience with full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus created by our world-renowned chefs.

Chef Biagio continues to bring the highest quality products in partnership with his son Chef Joseph by his side. As the Bruno’s family continues to grow, Chef Joseph alongside his sister Fina Settepani, continue to grow the legacy of their father’s and Bruno’s brand. We now introduce our newest location in Freehold, NJ, which will be operated by Chef Joseph and Fina. Bruno’s is thrilled to be part of the Monmouth community to bring traditional Italian sweets, breads and breathtaking cakes to our neighbor’s homes.
