OUR STORY BEGINS WITH MUSIC
AND THE SONG CONTINUES…

Born and raised in Marlboro NJ, Abe Ovadia developed a passion for music at a young age. His father, a retail merchant and blues bassist encouraged Abe to develop his natural guitar playing talent. Abe’s discipline for constantly improving his skills & passion for guitar led him to the Berklee College of Music.

Since graduating, Abe has emerged as one of the preeminent guitarists on the New York City music scene winning Best Guitarist of 2016 Award from Hot House Jazz Magazine. And as Musicvox Guitars describes, Abe is a “jazz virtuoso, one of the most innovative guitarists of our time.”

Abe is equally as passionate about music education as he is performing jazz. He has been teaching music to children of all ages for over fifteen years & served as an adjunct professor at New York University while pursuing a Masters Degree in Music.

It was in 2018 that Abe decided to merge his love and knowledge of music with his passion for teaching: Monmouth Music Academy was born! Located in a brand new building, a school with state of the art equipment & instruments making the entire experience comfortable for parents and students of any age. Monmouth Music Academy aims to elevate the student’s music education to the highest level.

“My experiences in high school, college, & graduate school of studying with several different teachers on various instruments influenced the direction of my life in a profound way. These experiences instilled in me a deep appreciation of music that I believe is an important part of any well-rounded person. Furthermore, taking music lessons exposed me to a way of life that I otherwise would not have considered: a life in music.”
