WELCOME TO
OUR HO– USE RESTAURANT & BANQUET FACILITY!
PLEASE ENJOY A LITTLE PIECE OF OUR HISTORY!

Among the many landmarks of the Freehold area is “Our House Restaurant & Banquet Facility.” It dates back before the Revolution to 1747. It was built by George Marriner and operated for many years as “Marriner’s Tavern.” Throughout later years it was then established as “Our House Tavern.” Now, it has become the restored, renovated (and some believe…..haunted….check your history books), newly owned and operated “Our House Restaurant & Banquet Facility.”

Over the years, our restaurant has been a gathering place for township meetings, dances, weddings, and many other events. Back in the olden days, it was also a gathering place for a band of outlaws known as the “Fagen Gang.” One of the members of the gang, Lewis Fenton was hung on September 23, 1779 in front of the restaurant by members of the Major Lee’s Light Dragoons. They were stationed at the County Seat of the Monmouth County Court House, now known as Freehold. We were also visited by the great President George Washington.

So, Rob Mowla and his staff here at Our House, welcome you to join the long list of the great, near great and the not so great who have dined and drank here for the past two and a half centuries!

We have a beautiful ballroom which can accomodate 50 to 260 guests. For weddings, bat/bar mitzvahs, christenings, sweet sixteens, meetings, etc…

Also available is our Blue Room which will accommodate up to 50 guests

Please feel free to call for an appointment and tour of the facility.
